Throughout his career, Coach Saban has assembled an all-star staff of assistant coaches at each of his head coaching posts and is known for developing talent both on the field and on the sideline. He’s known and respected by his peers as a grinder with a laser-like attention to detail.
Coach Saban shared his advice on how to achieve and maintain success. He talked about goal-setting and leadership and about building a winning team. He shared his knowledge about how to be happy and successful in anything you do. The audience in Irondale was captivated by his motivational and encouraging speech. Saban spoke about the importance of a leadership for young people. He sees the lack of discipline and leadership in many young people every day, but he is the last one to give up on them.
One of the key thoughts from Coach Saban was to work on eliminating negativism and mediocracy from your life. Saban’s advice is to surround yourself with hard-working people. Do not be afraid to make mistakes, but remember to learn from them. Saban shared how talent is not everything, but that continuous hard work and discipline are also keys to success.
Coach Saban spoke for almost an hour and had the devoted attention of Irondale’s gathered audience. After his speech the General Manager/Owner of Mercedes-Benz of Birmingham, Randy Powell announced the opening of the brand new, state of the art dealership in Irondale. The new eco-friendly facility will bring over 100 new jobs and economic growth to Irondale. This is excellent news for the City of Irondale and its citizens.
Irondale continues to prove it’s commercial, economic, industrial and residential growth. The City of Irondale, the Greater Irondale Chamber of Commerce, and the Irondale Commercial Development Authority have developed the Irondale Comprehensive Plan, which will improve the quality of life, schools, parks and other services in Irondale.
